Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level inter-ministerial meeting to review progress on key investment initiatives and project proposals involving friendly countries, particularly Azerbaijan.
The meeting brought together SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Additional Secretaries from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Communications, and Human Resource Development, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and senior officials from relevant ministries and departments.
During the session, participants held detailed discussions on enhancing foreign investment across multiple sectors, including infrastructure development, energy and petroleum, trade expansion, and information technology services.
Senator Ishaq Dar emphasized that strengthening Pakistan’s economic partnerships and attracting sustained investments from friendly nations—especially Azerbaijan—remains a central priority of the government. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to converting these collaborative efforts into long-term, sustainable economic growth and shared prosperity.
The Deputy Prime Minister directed all ministries to accelerate ongoing work and ensure timely coordination so that investment proposals can progress smoothly and deliver tangible results.
