Kashgar : President Asif Ali Zardari met today with Yunchun Yang, Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Serene Air, during his visit to Kashgar.
Mr. Yang briefed the President on Serene Air’s future operational plans in Pakistan. President Zardari encouraged the airline to expand its fleet in order to enhance connectivity and strengthen its domestic and international network.
Mr. Yang, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of California and is also the founder and president of a listed semiconductor company in China with subsidiaries in Sweden and the United States, reaffirmed his commitment to further investment in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
Serene Air represents the first Chinese private investment in Pakistan’s aviation industry and is also the first Pakistani private airline to launch flights to Beijing. Mr. Yang also underscored the company’s ongoing collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force in the field of JF-17 avionics.
The meeting was also attended by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan.
