Beijing: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari visited the Aircraft Complex of China’s Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), where J-10C fighter jets are manufactured.
As the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the President inspected various sections of the complex. He was briefed on the J-10, JF-17, and J-20 stealth fighters, as well as drones, autonomous units, and multi-domain operations.
He also held meetings with engineers and scientists. On the occasion, the President stated that the J-10 and JF-17 have strengthened the Pakistan Air Force, and their performance was remarkable during the Battle of Haq in May 2025 and Operation Banyan al-Marsous.
The President described AVIC as a symbol of China’s advanced technology and the Pakistan-China strategic partnership. He is the first foreign head of state to visit this complex.
President Zardari was accompanied by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, First Lady Asifa Bhutto Zardari, and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla. Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong were also present.
Pakistan reaffirmed its resolve to further enhance cooperation with China in the fields of defense production and aviation. The visit took place on the 128th day of the ceasefire with India.
