Doha: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha.
At Doha Airport, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Hassan Al Thani, received the Prime Minister.
The Pakistani delegation accompanying the Prime Minister includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During his one-day official visit, the Prime Minister will meet the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He will express solidarity with the Amir and the people of Qatar in the wake of Israel’s unjustified aggression against Doha, which constitutes a blatant violation of international law.
According to the statement, Pakistan and Qatar enjoy longstanding, historic, and brotherly relations based on shared faith and values. Pakistan has always stood by Qatar in times of difficulty and will continue to do so. The Prime Minister will reaffirm this commitment during his meeting with the Amir.
The meeting will also include consultations on Israel’s unjustified attacks on various countries in the region, its continued aggression, and efforts for the establishment of peace in the region.
