Shehbaz Sharif departs for home after completing official visit to China

Beijing: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for home after completing his official visit to China.

At Beijing Capital International Airport, Ms. Han Zirong, Member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, and members of the diplomatic staff saw off the Prime Minister.

During his visit to China, the Prime Minister attended the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as well as the SCO Plus Summit in Tianjin. He also participated in the events marking the 80th anniversary of the World Anti-Fascist War.

During his stay, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held bilateral meetings with the Presidents of China, Russia, Iran, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, where matters of mutual interest and regional cooperation were discussed. He also attended the 2nd Pakistan-China Business-to-Business Conference held in Beijing, where he exchanged views with business and investment communities of both countries on enhancing trade relations.
