T20 Asia Cup: India Defeats Pakistan

Dubai: In the second match of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup, India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets.

At the Dubai Stadium, the Indian team successfully chased down Pakistan’s target of 172 runs in the 19th over. After winning the toss, India invited Pakistan to bat first.

For Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan scored 58 runs, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz contributed 21 each. Fakhar Zaman made 15, Hussain Talat 10, Salman Ali Agha 17, and Faheem Ashraf remained unbeaten on 20 runs.

For India, Shivam Dube took 2 wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav picked up 1 wicket each. Mohammad Nawaz was run out.

In pursuit of 173, Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill built a commanding opening partnership of 105 runs, which turned the game one-sided.

Shubman Gill scored 47 runs off 28 balls before being dismissed by Faheem Ashraf. At the score of 106, Pakistan claimed their second wicket when captain Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for a duck by Haris Rauf.

Abhishek Sharma played a blistering knock of 74 runs off 39 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 6 fours, before being dismissed by Abrar Ahmed. India’s fourth and final wicket was Sanju Samson, who was bowled by Haris Rauf after scoring 13 runs.

Haris Rauf took 2 wickets, while Abrar Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf claimed 1 wicket each. For his outstanding performance, Abhishek Sharma was named Player of the Match.
