New York: United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has called for urgent action to address the ongoing crisis in Sudan.
He emphasized the need for peace, urging an immediate cessation of hostilities. Guterres stressed the importance of ensuring safe and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, while also calling for an end to the flow of weapons and fighters into the conflict zone.
The UN chief further urged both the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to come to the negotiating table to resolve the crisis through dialogue.
