President Zardari has departed for a 10-day visit to China

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has departed for a 10-day visit to China.

During the visit, the President will hold discussions on economic and trade cooperation, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), as well as collaboration in various other sectors.

The visit is taking place at the invitation of the Government of China.

President Zardari will visit Chengdu, Shanghai, Xinjiang, and other regions, where he will meet with provincial leadership. These meetings will focus on Pakistan-China bilateral relations, with special emphasis on economic and trade cooperation, CPEC, and future connectivity projects. The two sides will also exchange views on bilateral cooperation at multilateral forums.

The President’s visit reflects the continuation of high-level engagements between the two countries, highlighting the shared desire and commitment on both sides to further strengthen their strategic partnership under all circumstances.
This visit reaffirms mutual cooperation to advance economic and trade ties, particularly through CPEC, while also underscoring the joint resolve for regional peace, development, and stability.
