Ishaq Dar has arrived in New York to participate in the Session of the United Nations General Assembly,

New York: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in New York to participate in the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled from 22 to 26 September 2025. The Pakistani delegation to the high-level session will be led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

On arrival, Senator Ishaq Dar was received by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Aamir Iftikhar Ahmad, Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, and senior officials of the Embassy.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will have a busy schedule in New York. Alongside joining the Prime Minister in key engagements, he will represent Pakistan at various ministerial and high-level meetings. He is also expected to hold more than a dozen bilateral meetings with his counterpart foreign ministers to discuss issues of mutual interest and international cooperation.
