Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation with Ethiopia in the fields of trade, investment, agriculture, and technology.
The Prime Minister made these remarks during a farewell meeting with Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan. The Prime Minister congratulated the Ethiopian Ambassador on the successful completion of his tenure and appreciated his role in strengthening Pakistan-Ethiopia relations.
The Prime Minister particularly commended the Ambassador for landmark achievements during his tenure, including the signing of a bilateral trade agreement and the launch of direct flights between Karachi and Addis Ababa. Highlighting Ethiopia’s important role in Africa, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to further expand cooperation with Ethiopia in trade, investment, agriculture, and technology.
On the occasion, the Ethiopian Ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude for the cooperation and cordial environment extended to him by the Government and people of Pakistan during his tenure. The Prime Minister also conveyed his deep respect for the Government and leadership of Ethiopia and expressed the desire to further enhance high-level contacts between the two countries.
