Welcoming the Egyptian delegation, Ishaq Dar underscored that Pakistan places great importance on its longstanding and brotherly ties with Egypt, rooted in shared history, common faith, and aligned perspectives on key regional and global issues.

The two leaders acknowledged the progress made through recent high-level exchanges, including the Egyptian Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan in November 2025, and agreed to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.

A key focus of the discussions was enhancing bilateral trade and investment. Both sides emphasized the need to activate institutional mechanisms such as the Joint Ministerial Commission and promote stronger business-to-business engagement to unlock economic potential.

Pakistan also appreciated Egypt’s continued support in the health sector, particularly its assistance in combating hepatitis C, highlighting the importance of ongoing collaboration in public health initiatives.
Defence and security cooperation also featured prominently in the talks.

The two countries expressed satisfaction over existing collaboration and agreed to further strengthen ties through training exchanges and institutional partnerships.
On regional and international issues, both sides exchanged views on evolving developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East.

They stressed the importance of restraint, de-escalation, and resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
Reiterating Pakistan’s firm stance, Ishaq Dar expressed unwavering support for the Palestinian people and strongly condemned continued Israeli actions in Gaza and the West Bank.

He also acknowledged Egypt’s critical role in facilitating humanitarian assistance to Gaza, including support for Pakistan’s relief efforts.

The two countries agreed to maintain close coordination at multilateral platforms, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

The visit of the Egyptian Foreign Minister comes as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries, including recent consultations held in Riyadh on March 19, 2026, reflecting deepening coordination on regional developments.

The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to further strengthen Pakistan-Egypt relations and expand cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
