Pakistan Urges U.S.–Iran Dialogue, Emphasizes Diplomacy for Regional Peace

Islamabad: U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Tuesday, where both sides discussed recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts.


During the meeting, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s consistent stance that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving conflicts and ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region.

He emphasized the importance of constructive engagement between the United States and Iran, urging both sides to consider extending the ceasefire and to give diplomacy a meaningful opportunity.


The foreign minister also highlighted Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and promoting peace initiatives at the regional level.

Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and positive contributions toward regional stability and acknowledged its efforts in supporting diplomatic engagement.

The meeting reflects continued cooperation between Pakistan and the United States on key regional issues and underscores Islamabad’s commitment to peaceful conflict resolution through dialogue.
