Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a call from the European Union High Representative/Vice President Kaja Kallas, who expressed solidarity over the losses caused by the floods and assured the EU’s support in relief and recovery efforts.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, the EU High Representative/Vice President conveyed condolences over the tragic loss of lives due to the floods and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. She also reaffirmed the EU’s support for Pakistan’s relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar thanked her for the expression of solidarity and support, stating that Pakistan is among the countries most affected by the climate change crisis. He expressed satisfaction over the growing progress in Pakistan-EU relations and reaffirmed the resolve to further strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, particularly climate action, resilience building, and sustainable recovery.
