Prime Minister Arrives in Kuala Lumpur on an Official Visit to Malaysia; Warm Welcome Extended

Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Kuala Lumpur on an official visit to Malaysia.

At Kuala Lumpur’s Bunga Raya International Airport, the Prime Minister was received by Malaysia’s Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, and members of the diplomatic staff.

The Prime Minister was escorted to his residence with royal protocol.

Upon his arrival at the residence, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim warmly welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and extended greetings on his visit to Malaysia.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his delight at visiting Malaysia, saying, “I am very pleased to be in Malaysia and I sincerely thank Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for the warm reception. This visit will further strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia bilateral relations.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is visiting Malaysia at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

During his visit, he will hold a one-on-one meeting with his Malaysian counterpart, followed by delegation-level talks between the two sides.

Agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for cooperation in various fields will also be signed between the two countries.

The two leaders will discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, information technology and telecommunications, the halal industry, investment, education, energy, infrastructure, and the digital economy. They will also explore new avenues to promote people-to-people linkages.

This visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif holds great significance in further strengthening the relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.
