Prime Minister Embarks on Three-Day Official Visit to Malaysia

Islamabad, October 5: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will embark on a three-day official visit to Malaysia today, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising senior government officials.

The visit underscores the longstanding and multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia, built on mutual respect, shared interests, and close cooperation across a wide range of sectors.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold delegation-level talks with his Malaysian counterpart. The discussions will cover bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest. Both leaders are expected to explore new avenues to further strengthen collaboration in trade, information and communications technology, the halal industry, investment, education, energy, infrastructure development, the digital economy, and people-to-people exchanges.

A number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at deepening cooperation in diverse fields are also expected to be signed during the visit.

The Prime Minister’s visit reflects Pakistan’s strong commitment to enhancing its engagement with Malaysia and further advancing the longstanding friendship between the two brotherly nations.
