Islamabad: The Government  has increased the prices of petroleum products, and the revised rates will be effective from May 1, 2026.
According to a notification the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs 19.39 per litre, raising the new price to Rs 399.58 per litre. Previously, the diesel price was Rs 380.19 per litre.

Similarly, the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has also been increased by Rs 6.51 per litre, after which the new price has been set at Rs 399.86 per litre, compared to the earlier price of Rs 393.35 per litre.

The notification stated that the new prices will come into effect from May 1, 2026. The government has attributed the increase to fluctuations in global oil prices.
