Paris: Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, visited the International Village of Gastronomy in Paris at the invitation of Annie-Laure Descombin.

According to a statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan, this is one of the largest gastronomy events held in Paris since 2016, aimed at celebrating the rich culinary traditions from around the world.

Inaugurating the Pakistan Pavilion, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. She appreciated the tradition of organizing the International Gastronomy Festival, which promotes the cuisines and cultures of countries across the globe.

Pakistan’s participation this year is part of the Embassy’s public diplomacy efforts to popularize Pakistan’s culture and cuisine in France. The Pakistan Pavilion became a major attraction at the festival, drawing large crowds of food enthusiasts who enjoyed Pakistani dishes and learned more about the country’s culinary traditions.

Visitors to the exhibition praised the variety of savory and sweet dishes on display, including chicken biryani, chana chaat, chicken seekh kebab, vegetable samosas, gulab jamun, jalebi, as well as the famous beverages Rooh Afza and mango juice.

They also showed keen interest in the cooking process, ingredients used, and recipes of the dishes. This year, the Embassy of Pakistan is participating in the mega event alongside nearly 62 other countries and French regions.

The event will continue for four days and is expected to attract more than ten thousand visitors each day. Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch also commended the dedication and hard work of the Embassy team in organizing Pakistan’s participation.
