Pakistan and China Signed 3 memorandums of understanding

Urumqi : President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday witnessed the signing of three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises, aimed at strengthening cooperation in key sectors of livestock, textiles, and emergency services.

The first MoU, signed between Loyang Modern Biotechnologies and the Government of Sindh, represented by Minister Nasir Shah, focuses on the modernization of Pakistan’s livestock industry to enhance food security and generate rural employment.

The second MoU was inked between Beijing Asian Africa Longyue and ASM Services for the promotion and development of a modern textile industrial park in Pakistan, which is expected to boost industrial growth and exports.

The third MoU, between Sichuan Chuanxiao Fire Trucks Manufacturing Company and ASM Services, establishes a framework for supply, distribution, sales, and after-sale services of fire trucks and advanced emergency equipment, thereby strengthening Pakistan’s disaster response capabilities.

Speaking on the occasion, President Zardari said the agreements would open new avenues of Pakistan-China cooperation in sectors directly linked to economic progress and public welfare. He emphasized that these initiatives would not only stimulate growth but also enhance Pakistan’s resilience in critical areas.

The ceremony was also attended by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan.
