Pakistan, China Reaffirm Commitment to Regional Peace Through Dialogue

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during which both leaders underscored their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and diplomacy in the region.

The high-level contact comes in the wake of the recently concluded Islamabad Talks and the ongoing direct negotiations between the United States and Iran.

The two sides exchanged detailed views on the evolving regional situation and the progress made through diplomatic engagement.

During the conversation, Wang Yi commended Pakistan’s proactive and constructive role in facilitating dialogue, particularly its efforts to support peace initiatives and reduce tensions.

He congratulated Pakistan’s leadership for its dedicated diplomacy and reaffirmed China’s continued support for Pakistan’s role as a key stakeholder in regional peacebuilding.

In response, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to advancing dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path toward sustainable peace.

He emphasized that constructive engagement and mutual understanding remain essential for resolving complex regional challenges.

Both leaders also discussed the Pakistan–China Five-Point Peace Initiative, highlighting its importance as a framework for promoting peaceful conflict resolution and strengthening regional stability.

They agreed that diplomacy must remain at the forefront of all efforts aimed at addressing tensions and fostering cooperation.

The conversation concluded with both sides agreeing to maintain close coordination and regular communication as they continue to work together for lasting peace and stability in the region.
