Washington: According to US media reports, Iran has presented new proposals to the United States aimed at reducing tensions in the region.
The report states that a key element of Iran’s proposal includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and ending the maritime blockade, for which Tehran is reportedly willing to reach an initial agreement.
Sources further suggest that Iran has also proposed postponing negotiations on its nuclear program to a later stage, focusing first on de-escalation measures.
US media reports indicate that differences still persist between the two sides over the sequencing and priorities of the talks, and no clear breakthrough has been achieved so far.
