Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif meets Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi; detailed exchange of views on regional situation


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met a high-level Iranian delegation led by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the current regional situation, and various matters of mutual interest were reviewed.

Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.

 Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif later stated in a post on the social media platform X that his meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister and his delegation was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere.

He said that the meeting not only included detailed discussions on the regional situation but also explored avenues to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting is being viewed as an important development in diplomatic relations between the two countries and for peace and stability in the region.
