Doha:Doha: Hamas top leadeship remained safe in Israeli airstrike.
Earlier there were news that Hamas leaders Khalil al-Hayya and Zaher Jabarin were martyred in an Israeli airstrike in Qatar’s capital, Doha but all the Hamas lead leaders remained safe in strike.
According to foreign media, Hamas’s negotiators were targeted in Doha through an explosion.
The Israeli bombing caused multiple explosions that shook the Katara area of Doha.
According to Hamas sources, several Hamas leaders were holding a meeting at the time of the Israeli airstrike.
Hamas sources further said the meeting was focused on U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for a Gaza ceasefire.
According to Arab media, Hamas’s five senior leaders—Khaled Meshaal, Khalil al-Hayya, Zaher Jabarin, Mohammad Darwish, and Abu Marzouk—were present during the meeting when the Israeli bombing occurred.
An Israeli official stated that the U.S. had been informed prior to the attack on Hamas leaders in Doha and had provided assistance in the strike.
Meanwhile, Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli attack, saying that Israel had violated its sovereignty and integrity.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in its reaction, said: “We condemn the Israeli strike on the residences of Hamas leaders in Doha. Israel has attacked our sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
According to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Israel’s criminal attack is a blatant violation of international law and has endangered the safety of citizens as well as foreign residents in Qatar.
Pakistan, Iran, Türkiye, and other countries have also strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Doha.
