Prime Minister Welcomes Success of Negotiations and Agreement in Azad Kashmir

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the successful conclusion of the negotiation process in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the agreement reached between the government’s negotiation committee and the Joint Action Committee.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the members of the negotiation committee, commending their individual and collective efforts, and extended his appreciation for their dedicated work.

The Prime Minister termed it a major success for Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the restoration of peace and normalization of the situation is a positive development.

He said that conspiracies and rumors have finally been laid to rest, and all matters have been amicably resolved — Alhamdulillah.

He also thanked the members of the Joint Action Committee for their constructive role in the successful negotiations and congratulated them on the restoration of peace.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the government stands ready at all times to address the issues faced by their Kashmiri brothers, adding that public welfare and peace remain the government’s top priorities. “We will continue to serve the people of Azad Kashmir,” he said, urging the people to avoid paying heed to rumors.

The Prime Minister further stated that “we have always been protectors of the rights of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and will continue to safeguard those rights in the future as well.” He emphasized that the issues of Azad Kashmir have always remained a focus of attention, and his government has consistently worked to resolve them on a priority basis.
