Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar departed from Islamabad on Tuesday morning for a one-day official visit to Beijing at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

According to diplomatic sources, the visit reflects the continued high-level engagement between Pakistan and China, underscoring their longstanding “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.”

During the visit, both leaders are expected to hold detailed discussions aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations across multiple sectors, including economic cooperation, regional connectivity, and strategic coordination.

The two foreign ministers will also exchange views on key regional and global developments, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining close consultation on issues of mutual interest. The dialogue is likely to focus on evolving geopolitical dynamics in the region, as well as efforts to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.

This marks Ishaq Dar’s second visit to Beijing this year, highlighting the frequency of high-level diplomatic contacts between the two countries.

Analysts view such engagements as part of ongoing efforts to deepen strategic trust and expand cooperation under frameworks like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Officials say the visit will further solidify bilateral ties and pave the way for enhanced collaboration in the face of emerging regional and global challenges.
